Unnamed Method provides a fun way to learn languages faster.  These proven game techniques dramatically speed language learning.

Learn Languages FASTER!

Can we just say this very quickly up front?  Language acquisition is a mind-numbing chore.  With Unnamed Method you can learn languages faster because learning does not have to be tedious.

In this modern era of information, the world is growing closer than ever before.  Effective communication has never been more important than it is today.  Speaking multiple languages allows us to better understand our neighbors, our friends, and our business associates. Depending on your industry, fluency in just one additional language can drastically increase the chance you will be hired, and can positively impact your salary by as much as 25%.

So why is language learning so difficult?  It is because we are taught to reverse engineer it.  We do it BACKWARDS.

When we are children, we learn to speak a language by THINKING in that language.  We listen to our parents speak and try to discern what they are saying piece by piece – learning the language naturally, as our brain is wired to do.  We learn sentence structure, grammar, and vocabulary as one, coming to understand the world around us through our dominant speech patterns.

Conversely, when we try to learn additional languages, we learn through translation.  Basically every method for language learning available today works by cramming vocabulary up front – through rote memorization.   It doesn’t matter if we take a class, hire a tutor, or buy expensive computer software - learning a new language is tedious, boring, and extremely difficult because we are forced to learn the words piece-by-piece, tying them in our minds to words in our native tongue, and then trying to figure out how to paste them back together in the language we are acquiring.

Make Language Learning Fun!

Unnamed Method is a company dedicated to furthering communication between cultures by flipping the script on this outdated process and allowing players to learn languages faster.  By gamifying the language, you learn the sentence structure in advance.  The rules of each game are the framework of the language; you begin with having to think in the language FIRST, and then add in vocabulary once you have the structure in place to be able to comprehend it organically.  In addition, the game is FUN, and the learning comes as a byproduct of challenging yourself to play the game better.

As you become more familiar with the game, adding expansion decks you expand your understanding of the language, the culture, and the thought process of the people who speak that language.

Eventually, we will be adding a section to this website that is dedicated to the individual cultures of each game, allowing you to interact with the cuisine, fashion, history, and daily lives of the people behind these words.  This will give players the same intimacy with the language that develops naturally in children, and allows our customers to pick up languages MUCH faster than by any other available methodology.

"I was able to use [Japanese: the Game] a little when in Japan last month. Looking forward to having the complete set to learn with"

"I like the fact that you're standing up for yourself. [The previous company] spent too much time paying lip service and pretending that everything was alright, and not enough time showing the backbone and fortitude to finish what he started. Plus, you've already given us more information, that actually seems reasonable than [the previous company] did. I'm actually hopeful that we'll see something from this Kickstarter."

"I brought my Japanese: the Game with me to Anime Banzai in Layton, Utah (near Ogden). I sat in the table games room with it and got a taker. He had never studied Japanese before but he was interested in giving it a try and I walked him through the grammar.. We played for almost an hour and he really liked the game. I played with one other person who already knew some Japanese and he seemed to like the game, too"

"I received this product as a gift, then later met the creator at a convention. He was incredibly kind, friendly, and eager to talk not just about the product, but the Japanese culture itself. It's a great way to ease into the language, with fun pictures and practice sentences that stick to memory better than any glue. I couldn't be more than happy with the representative's chipper attitude and unique little game."
